Chris Troxel's Response

When we initially published this material we gave Chris Troxel an opportunity to refute the information contained in this information packet. His lawyer made a general denial but failed to provide any specific information that we could use to check the accuracy of his denial. He further threatened to "take legal action as necessary to stop the publication of this material." Months have passed and Chris Troxel gave us nothing further. No lawsuit. No further denials. No further threats.

This appears to be the maneuver that Carl Bernstein and Bob Woodward labeled a "non-denial denial". Please see the current Wikipedia definition.

We are not surprised because public records remember the history that some contractors would rather forget.
